Anaiya has been going to weekly swim classes for a couple of months now. She's always loved the water since she was ity bity. But for whatever reason, she has been crying in the class we take her on Saturday mornings. It's funny because she would do everything that she was being taught, but she did it through her tears. I'm convinced that it's because we have a male teacher (Jordan) on Saturdays because I would take her on other days when we have a female teacher (Kyla) and she wouldn't usually cry and when we're in the pool (and not in class) she had so much fun.
Last weekend we finally had a break through. She had so much with Jordan. She was giving him high fives and smiling and laughing the entire class. It was so awesome to see her finally enjoying herself. You could say I had one of my first proud "momma moments". Luckily, I had my phone with me so I could catch her happiness and excite on video.
This past weekend, Jordan said she's ready to leave the beginners class and move up to intermediate class.
