Quality Time Together

I’ve been home ever since Maliya was born, and it’s been great hanging with my girls.  Maliya is easy, as she fits the profile of a newborn:  eat, sleep and poop.  While she still sleeps a majority of the day, she seems to be more alert with each passing day.  I love it when she’s awake because then you can see her warm grey eyes.  Since we’re both home, Reena and I both have been spending quality time with Maliya.
Of course there are many firsts, one of them being Maliya’s first bath.  While Anaiya screamed and cried during her first washing at home, Maliya played it cool.
We’ve also tried to make sure that we give Anaiya enough attention so she doesn’t feel left out.  Luckily, Anaiya continues to be the sweetest thing ever.  She loves being a big sister and does not mind when we give Maliya attention.   Luckily, she also loves when we give her attention.
We’ve continued Anaiya’s swim lessons, especially since it’s been so warm.  Anaiya is doing pretty well in the pool, which is a prerequisite if you’re living in SoCal.  Anaiya can swim on her back and go from a back float to rolling over onto her belly by herself.  It's so exciting to watch the progress she's making!
