I’ve been delinquent in posting pictures and videos in the last week, so I’ll try to make up for that in the coming days.
I want to officially relinquish my title of "Best parent that can calm Anaiya." About a month ago, we had a poll question that asked who could calm Anaiya down faster, and I won 17-13 (largely thanks to my Nana voting multiple times a day for me from different computers). I did have a knack for quieting Anaiya in the early days with the "football" hold, but she has quickly outgrown that position. I am now a stop-gap between Anaiya crying and Reena coming to the rescue.
Anaiya loves Reena. So much that Anaiya can be balling me with and as soon as I hand her over to Reena, Anaiya stops crying. It can be frustrating (and sad), but it’s cool to see the bond that Anaiya has with her mother.
I do have hope that I will regain the title at some future date. Most likely that will be when Anaiya is three and I’m sneaking chocolates to her behind Reena’s back. My tactics may be shady, but how else will Anaiya become daddy's little girl?
