Anaiya turned 6 weeks old today. At her 6 week checkup, she had gained another 2 pounds (9 lbs, 12 oz.) and grew another 2 inches (22.9 in.). She also got her first set of shots which went very well. She cried initially but quickly calmed down after I picked her up. She was smiling and playful when she got home from the doctor’s office so that was a great sign.
She’s becoming more alert every day. She has been smiling (a real smile, not the smile because she’s passing gas). There’s nothing better than seeing the smile on her face. It definitely makes me forget how tired I am. She began sleeping 5 to 6 hours on a regular basis at night starting last week which has been great! I only have to do one feeding before I go to bed and it holds Anaiya over until at least 5am or 6am. What more could I ask for at this point?!?
