Palm Springs

Over Memorial Day weekend, we headed to Palm Springs with our friends, Amit and Toral and their two kids (Arya and Devon).  They also happen to be our neigbors so Anaiya and Arya play together pretty often.  We stayed in suite at a Marriott resort and had a pretty low-key weekend which is exactly what we all needed.  We hung out at the pool, Toral and I got massages, and just relaxed.  We avoided going to restaurants since we have 3 kids under the age of 3.  Instead we ordered take-out and hung out in our suite so the kids could run around and make as much noise as they wanted.

Anaiya loved playing in the kiddie pool.  Luckily, the water was only 1-1/2 feet deep so at least we didn't have to worry as much while we watched her fall over the place.  But she had a ball and would just get up laughing.

 

The pool also had a water slide so we decided to go down it with Anaiya thinking she would like it because she loves slides and the water.  However, she was definitely not happy when we took her out of the kiddie pool to try it out.  So it took us a few tries just to get to the top of the slide.  She was happy until she hit the water.  Let's just say Amit and I each only tried once with her before we moved back to the kiddie pool!
