Meeting Santa

This is the first real Christmas that Anaiya can understand the concept of Santa, Christmas, and all that comes with it.  In order to get her ready for the holiday, Amit and I have been talking to her for the past month or so about Santa.  I bought her some books (Elmo, Dora, Mickey Mouse's Christmas and the classic Twas the Night Before Christmas).

We went this past weekend to the mall for the annual Santa picture.  I was already prepared for Anaiya to cry when it was turn to sit on Santa's lap because that's what most 2 years old do.  I was hoping if she saw Maliya sitting on Santa's lap, then she might considered it.  But I wasn't surprised when Anaiya was against the idea and cried anyways.  Maliya did just fine.  We had to wake her up from her nap, so she was half asleep.  She didn't cry, but she wasn't smiling either!

We bought the cd of a few images just to show how Anaiya's expression changed while sitting on Santa's lap.  It's hilarious!
