The weather forecast for this weekend was nothing but rain. But that didn't stop us from making our way to LA for our really good friends' (Seema and Nihar) wedding. After sitting in traffic from OC to LA while driving in the rain for over 2 hours, we finally made it to LA. It was Anaiya's first real outing since being born. She was a hit at all of the events, especially the reception. We went to Seema's Mehndi party on Friday night, her bridal shower on Saturday (just Anaiya and I went), and the wedding and reception on Sunday. Anaiya managed to sleep through the entire wedding and even the first part of the reception. I'm probably biased, but next to the bride and groom, Anaiya was the hit of the reception. She woke up in time for the dancing, so I took her out on the dance floor to do some bhangra. Everyone was so impressed about how well-behaved she was. She was just chillin' in my arms while we moved across the dance floor. The funny part was that eventually she fell asleep in my arms while still out on the dance floor with the music blasting. Clearly, she gets her sleeping habits from me!
Since we were staying in a hotel all weekend, I had Amit help me give Anaiya a bath since I didn't have her baby tub with her. Consider this the first daddy/daughter bath together!
All in all, we had a fantastic time this weekend, and we are so happy for Seema and Nihar!
