Happy Father's Day!

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Father's Day weekend a couple of weeks ago.   We mainly spent ours at home, which was nice so we could catch-up on some rest and just hang out.  One of my initial ideas was to get Amit a cookie cake from the Great American Cookie Company, which he grew up eating in Kansas City.  There was one mall about 25 minutes from our house that had this bakery, but I found out when I went to place my order that it wasn't there anymore (I was totally disappointed).  So instead, on Saturday I made him funfetti cupcakes which are his 2nd favorite dessert.  On Sunday, I let Amit sleep-in while I took care of Anaiya.  Once he woke up, Anaiya and I made Amit breakfast (banana pancakes - one of his favorites).  After breakfast, we gave him his gift, which was a scrapbook filled with pictures of him and Anaiya.  I thought this would be a great start to a tradition...every year the scrapbook would be filled with more pictures of the two of them together.  Later that afternoon, Amit's dad drove up for a visit.  It great to have Anaiya spend some time with her Dada (especially since it freed up my time to cook dinner).
