Maliya - 7 Months Old

Maliya turned 7 months old a couple of weeks ago.  She now weighs 15 pounds and is around 27 inches tall.  She is doing amazing and it's been fun watching her development.  She definitely loves to babble and her laughing is one of the sweetest sounds.  She isn't crawling yet.  But she started today to rock back and forth on her knees so I'm sure the crawling is going to happen sooner instead of later.

I've definitely been experimenting with more food with Maliya than I did with Anaiya.    Some of the new foods I've introduced in the last couple of months are yams, zucchini, yellow squash, beets, cauliflower, lentils, red bell pepper, celery, and cucumbers.  She loves everything so far so feedings have been very easy.  I also introduced the sippy cup to Maliya.  She loves playing with it, but hasn't really been drinking her water out of it.  But I was so determined to get her to drop the bottle completely by 8 months like Anaiya did so I decided yesterday to give her milk in it.  She drank her milk from her sippy cup like a champ and did the same thing today.  So I'm officially getting rid of all of the baby bottles!!!  It's the little things these days that can just make my day!
