At the beginning of May, Maliya turned 8 months old. What a busy/eventful few weeks we've had. Maliya started crawling so now we've had to be very careful of everything that we leave out and making sure that we close the gates especially upstairs. Amit and I have been so used to not closing our gates up until now because Anaiya has always been good about not going anywhere near the stairs by herself. So there is definitely a bit of re-training ourselves to having a crawler around. It's also harder keeping everything out of Maliya's reach because she's pulling herself up and tries to grab at everything and anything that is within her reach.
Another big event was getting her ears pierced a couple of weeks ago. She did awesome and really only cried for a minute before she forgot what we put her through. I'm so glad it's over and I never have to go through that again because as a parent, you just feel awful and guilty about inflicting that kind of pain especially when they are so happy and playful right up until the piercing happens.
Below are Maliya's 8 month old pictures we had taken at the kiddie studio. I was lucky enough to get one good shot with her.
