At 9 months, Maliya is one baby crawling machine. She's moving around pretty fast, but I think it's because she is trying to keep with Anaiya. Too bad Anaiya is constantly running from the play room to her room to Maliya's room back to the play room. At least Maliya is getting a workout in and tiring herself out! In the past month, she has learned to climb up our stairs and everything else she can pull herself up on, said her first word, "dada" on Father's Day, and learned to clap her hands. She's a definitely babbling more and also saying "mama" and "Ny-Ny".
At her 9 month doctor's appointment, she measured 28.5 inches tall while her weight was at 15 lbs, 11 oz. Since we've started giving her small pieces of food so she can feed herself, we've introduced meat to her. She definitely loves her meat along with her veggies. The new foods in her diet are turkey, chicken, pork, steak, avocado, cucumbers, chili, red beans, channa, and kala channa. So far she hasn't turned any food down!
